Here we select some of the freaky and fascinating facts.
WHY DO WE YAWN? The process opens the Eustachian tubes, which run from the ears to the throat, and adjusts air pressure in the middle ear.
No one has proved a good yawn increases oxygen intake.
WHY DO FINGERS GO WRINKLY IN THE BATH? Protective oils waterproofing the skin are washed away.
The top layer of skin absorbs water and expands but the bottom layer can't. This forces the upper level to buckle and pleat.
WHAT ARE TEARS? They get rid of toxins. Emotional tears have more protein than tears caused by cutting onions.
DOES YOUR NOSE GROW? Yes, but not as much as Pinocchio's.
The nose can get bigger or smaller, depending on blood flow.
WHAT CAUSES HICCUPS? Irritation to the nerves controlling the diaphragm.
They are triggered by eating or drinking too fast or by trying to breathe and eat at the same time.
WHY DO WE SNEEZE? Because the nose senses a foreign body and tries to get rid of it.
Some people sneeze when they emerge into daylight. This happens because the protective reflexes of the eyes and nose are closely linked.
CAN WE DIE LAUGHING? Yes - a Danish doctor laughed so much as he watched the movie A Fish Called Wanda that he had a heart attack.
It is thought his heartbeat soared from a normal 60 beats per minute to up to 500bpm.
HOW MANY BABIES CAN A WOMAN HAVE? Females have two million eggs at birth.
About 300,000 survive to puberty. Only 450 are released for possible fertilisation, one a month during the reproductive years.

CAN I DIE DRINKING TOO MUCH WATER? Yes. The kidneys can only cope with so much.
Theoretically, if you continually drink water so that your kidneys can't deal with the flood then body tissue, including the brain, would swell with the overflow.
WHY DO WE OFTEN LOOK UP WHILE THINKING? People use either vision, hearing or touching when they seek a mental solution.
CAN EATING CARROTS IMPROVE EYESIGHT? Carrots are high in vitamin A, essential for eyesight.

WHAT ARE GOOSEBUMPS? A muscular reaction to cold. The small muscles at the base of each body hair contract to form a mound of flesh.

WHY DO MEN HAVE NIPPLES? In theory, fellas are capable of giving milk.
Male breasts do not get enough of the female hormone oestrogen to do it, though they could with hormonal treatment.
DO HUMANS GET HAIR BALLS LIKE CATS? Not exactly - but your hair can kill you.
Swallowed hair can form masses that lodge in the gastrointestinal tract, causing obstruction, haemorrhage and perforations.
WHY DOESN'T MY BELLY BUTTON HEAL OVER? It is merely scar tissue of the umbilical cord where the cord has detached after birth.
It does not heal over because there is nothing between it and your stomach except a few layers of skin.

Maradona blasts Real's Galacticos
Diego Maradona has written off Real Madrid and claims Arsenal are the best team in Europe.
'The Galacticos aren't more than a band of stray dogs,' Maradona said as he left for Cuba.
After watching Real's Champions League defeat by Bayer Leverkusen, Maradona said: 'I felt embarrassed watching them.
'Roberto Carlos didn't know what was he doing on the pitch and Beckham was just looking for the flashes. All of them just wanted the match to finish. That's not football.'
And he recommended that the Spanish team sign Argentine midfielder Javier Mascherano. 'He's a monster, with him Real Madrid would be a real team,' he said.
And Argentina's World Cup-winning skipper added: 'I do like Arsenal a lot, they're the best in Europe. And Thierry Henry is a 'Maradonian' player.'

JAY-JAY OKOCHA has hailed Arsene Wenger as the greatest ad man in football.
Bolton’s gifted midfielder is one of the few Premiership players who can hold a candle to Arsenal’s Invincibles.
And as he turns up at Highbury today, hell-bent on ending the Gunners’ 45-match unbeaten league run, Okocha insists Wenger’s men are a living, breathing TV commercial for Premiership football.
When Okocha returns to his native Nigeria, there are thousands of kids on the streets of Lagos wearing Arsenal shirts — and, he reckons, even more now wearing the white of Bolton.
Okocha, 31, said: “It seems like a TV commercial for the whole of football when Arsenal play.
“It’s like they’re advertising the game. If kids watch Arsenal, in England, in Africa, anywhere, they will have a lot more interest in the game.
“They are one of the most entertaining teams I’ve ever seen and they are so ruthless as well.
“You can only admire them if you appreciate good football.
“People in Africa watch the Premiership. There are a lot of Bolton supporters, kids in Bolton shirts, walking around Lagos.
“There used to be more Arsenal fans when Kanu was in the team.
“But as I’ve been here for a couple of years, there are more Bolton supporters now.
“I didn’t realise they showed the Premiership matches live back home until after I had finished my first season and went back there.
“I could see how much they followed it and people were praying for us to avoid relegation. They were really emotional about the whole situation.
“All footballers are ambitious and if you had an opportunity to play for a team like Arsenal it would be nice.
“For me, I think it would be impossible now. But it would have been nice.�

Creative Week at Cyber jaya

|
Went for some free short films screening at Cyber Jaya last saturday. At first, me n a fren went for a showcase from MMU student, at one of MMU's faculty. Kitorg menonton serba sedikit pengalaman yg dialami oleh certain people, yg diadaptasikan mnjadi short film seperti 6 shorts dan Pang Yau. One of the film is about the experiences of ISA detainees, while the other one is about a chinese fren of the narrator.
Then we went for the real purpose we r here, to watch a short film, MALAIKAT DI HUJUNG JENDELA, lakonan Ning Baizura. But before we can watch it, we have to watch some short narration from MMU showcase. One of the showcase is about a boy's narration about his family. Got porn here .. ahaks .. masa die citer psl akak die, tunjuk la kt situ akak die tgh tgk porn,  and smpai kitorg pun tgk skali.. demm demm .. 
Dua short film yg sempat kami tonton pada ari itu: Rabun dan Malaikat di Jendela
RABUN arahan Yasmin Ahmad ***** (lima bintang) (recommended)
Rabun menampilkan cerita mudah tetapi jalur pemikiran yang kaya menjadikan ia besar. Yasmin mengupas kepolosan Melayu (terutama Melayu Selatan Semenanjung saya kira), kemunafikan dan talam dua muka. Dengki mendengki sesama saudara (tetapi dengan Cina dan India amat mesra), membuang bangkai, meracun pokok-pokok buah-buahan. Dan yang paling mahal tentulah romantik lelaki Melayu yang sukar difahami tercermin pada gurau suami isteri yang erotis tetapi juga sarat kias melucukan.
Adengan close up Kartina Aziz memandikan M.Rajoli mempunyai kesan visual yang amat segar dan berbekas. Malah merupakan momen paling seksi dan erotik dalam filem Melayu selepas era Jalan Ampas dan Cathay Shaw. Ia malah sangat penting untuk menjelaskan mesej Yasmin. Setelah sekian lama dijauhkan dari close up dan hanya didera dengan full dan mid shot yang kaku pula, close up waktu adengan ini amat memukau. Ekspresi M.Rajoli disental ketiaknya menyerlahkan kemampuan beliau yang tidak terbatas. Ini terpancar sekali lagi saat Inom membersihkan comot suaminya seraya Pak Atan menyanyi, juga saat Inom melesang Cik Nur lakonan Rozie Rashid tetapi berakhir dengan mereka berdakapan turut memapar kekuatan Rabun.
Filem ini juga telah pun mendapat perhatian besar di Pesta Filem Singapura dan Cinemaya New Delhi dan telah memenangi Malaysian Video Awards 2003 bagi kategori Best ASEAN Film (jangka masa melebihi 60 minit).

A story of a midwife in a country village. She tries to survive after she has lost her daughter and her husband to an illness that may not be named. From the understanding she now receives as midwife and widow, she is able to experience happiness and hope in the natural cycle of death and birth.

Redang Experience .. THE BEST EVER

I went again to Pulau Redang last weekend, with my beloved best buddies of all, Zack, Jai, Casey, Ejean, Zero, Nur, Q-mar, Hana and psgn pengantin Yieng and Fira. We truly had a really great moment together.
Holding hand together, dancing, singing, taking pics, snorkling, swimming, finning (ahaks), eating, barbequeing, sleeping, baling pasir, gusti air, carik spek, mandi hujan, hilang mask, jumpa balik mask, meroti ikan, tgk ular air yg pnjg 7 kaki, lawan ombak, pijak coral tajam, jungle tracking, tgk bula, "jgn berdiri atas coral", panjat bukit, basah bersama, telan air masin, Anis Soraya, bikini guy, story telling, naik buai, terbang dlm bot laju, mkn aiskrim, menang aiskrim, naik van pacik Ajis, ngorat org, beli sampin, mkn nasik ayam mak Yieng (thanx dude).

ARSENE WENGER last night hailed his record-breaking Gunners as AMAZING.
Arsenal eclipsed Nottingham Forest’s 26-year-old mark of 42 league games without defeat as they brushed Blackburn aside with a ruthless second-half display.
Goals by Thierry Henry, Gilberto and sub Jose Reyes won it and left boss Wenger insisting they can get even BETTER.
He said: “We are very happy because we have shown remarkable consistency. The quality of our football has been very high and to achieve this record in the modern game is something amazing.”
Brian Clough, who bossed Forest in their glory era, hailed Wenger’s troops. He said: “This team ranks with the greatest club sides of all time. What they have done is absolutely magnificent.
“Even that word doesn’t do them justice because there is no superlative capable of describing them.
“There is a tinge of sadness on my behalf because nobody likes to see themselves overtaken in the record books.
“But sadness will soon be replaced with sheer pleasure that it has taken such a brilliant and beautiful team to beat us.
“What more can I say about Arsenal? Well, even as an old codger, they take me back to my younger days. They caress a football the way I dreamed of caressing Marilyn Monroe.
“They treat a ball not only with respect but with reverence. They don’t try to knock the leather off it.
“Everything they do is as if they are trying to do the ball a favour.
“Aye, I’m happy even at a time when my record has gone.
“When we watch Arsenal play we should all be content because it doesn’t get any better than this.”
“There were some great goals and great movement — and the goals can come from everywhere.”
Rovers boss Graeme Souness said: “This Arsenal side and the Manchester United side of six or seven years ago are the most exciting to watch.

It took a quarter century for a team to equal Nottingham Forest's 42 match unbeaten run. But on Sunday afternoon, Brian Clough's men were finally caught as Arsenal defeated Middlesbrough 5-3 in the Highbury sun.
Two teams from two different eras with two amazing league runs – so which is better?
Forest were able to turn their domestic run into European success. In the 1978/79 season, when their unbeaten streak ended, they won the first of two consecutive European Cups. But domestically, there is evidence to suggest Arsenal's achievements are more impressive.
Sir Alex Ferguson recently said that Arsenal didn't show championship form last season because they drew too many games. The Old Trafford manager would be unimpressed with Clough's men then, because they drew 21 games during their unbeaten run. Arsenal have only drawn 12 games during their current streak. Using the current system, awarding three points for a win, Arsenal have gained 102 points during their run compared to Forest's 84.
Defensively, the old Forest team were superior to Arsène Wenger's modern, all-out attacking squad. During their 42-game run, Forest conceded just 22 goals and kept 25 clean sheets, compared to Arsenal's 31 goals conceded and 16 clean sheets. Forest did, however, concede two or more goals four times, while only Newcastle and Tottenham have scored two goals and Middlesbrough three against the current Arsenal Immortals.
While Forest might have been better than Arsenal defensively, they could not contend with the attacking firepower today's Gunners have. Forest found the net 58 times, for a goal difference of +36, while Arsenal have scored a massive 92 goals in the past 42 games, compiling a goal difference of +61.
Forest's biggest victory was a 4-0 triumph over Manchester United at Old Trafford in December 1977. The unbeatable Arsenal have recorded two victories by five goal margins – 6-1 against Southampton in the run's opening game and 5-0 over Leeds United last spring.
The victory over Manchester United marked Forest's only match where they scored four or more times. Arsenal have accomplished that feat an incredible nine times.
Of course, comparing these statistics is somewhat meaningless. The style of play in the Premiership is vastly different to the style of play in the old First Division 25 years ago.

0900 am - Pas mkn pi jejalan sepanjang pantai, bergambar sampai la ke area Laguna Redang
1215 pm - Mkn tghari, black pepper lamb
0115 pm - Bertolak dr pantai redang menuju Jeti Marang, bot laju yg digunakan menggunakan 2 engine 200 hp setiap satu, kelajuan 14 batu nautica. Antara bot terlaju yg terdapat di pulau nih. Perjalanan memakan masa setengah jam.
0145 pm - Smpai di jeti marang, beli2 souvenir, kopok2 lekor and else. Sepanjang perjalanan pun ada singgah beli kopok. Naik van tourist utk ke KTganu.
0430 pm - Tiba di K Tganu. Tido kt opis travel agensi nih, keletihan. Akak, Annim dan Hakim pi Psr Payang. Shopping la tu.. Pastu bgn mandi semayang.
0630 pm - pi mkn kt maner ntah .. tp best la dienyer nasi dagang, world class. Harga RM2 jer.. baik punya ..
0735 pm - Smpai kt airport, bukan airpool ek sedara sedari. Hahahaaa..
0940pm - Berlepas dari KT dgn pesawat Airasia
1030pm - Tiba dengan selamat nya di KLIA. ALHAMDULILLAH .

730am - Sarapan
830am - Berkayak - satu jam RM20, tp amek 2 kayak stgh jam setiap satu, so still RM20.
900am - Berenang2 di tepian pantai depan resort smbil tgu nk pi snorkling pas nih. Sblm nk naik kapal pi snorkling, sunglasses Gucci Annim lak jatuh dlm air then tak tau maner pegi nyer. Nak tak nak terpaksa la lupakan jap pencarian, sbb kapal da nk jalan.
930am - Snorkling kt Teluk Rotan, amek gmbr underwater kt sini. Sewa kamera Sony 5.0 mp with underwater cover dgn harga RM50 dr jam 9am till 5pm. Can take pics up to 81 snaps only, but its worth it. Akak da pening2 sbb die lupa mkn ubat mabuk, so die pegang la tiang kapal sepanjang perjalanan nk cover mabuk tu. Balik dr snorkling, kitorg pun carik la lagi spek Annim, and at last Annim herself finally found it in the water. Hakim pun jumpa gak dienyer cover sunglasses die dlm beg akak.
100pm - Lunch
330pm - Snorkling kt lagun depan Dive Centre, where i saw one baby shark berenang just on my left side, and sempat juga saya snap pic baby shark tu (Gmbr baby shark disertakan). Quite berdebar2 gak la when first saw the shark, try to follow the shark, but die berenang terlalu laju, kejap jer da hilang. So teruskan berenang dan amek gmbr lagi. Byk gak ikan2 kt sini, even dekat ngan pantai, so i recommend u ppl out there to go this place when u ever get there in Pulau Redang, and dun forget to bring along the breads as baits.
400pm - Minum ptg
500pm - Berenang di pantai pastu blk tido keletihan.
700pm - Pi tgk dak2 nih main congkak..
730pm - Dinner ari nih barbeque lagi. Lamb die cam biasa amatla melazatkan sehingga menjilat jari. Ayam die da tak masin da. heh .. Tp superbla diorg masak lamb nhan hotdog, hingga menjilat jari .. adik nak.. adik nak.. adik nak .. (iklan A&W) ..
830 pm - Beli souvenirs tp tak byk .. buy some shirts for my parent n sedikit penyu2 yg dibuat dr cengkerang2 laut .. pastu usha gmbr yg diupload dr camera underwater td. Diorg burnkan tuk kitorg as its in the 'RM50-package'.
1000pm - Pi jejalan kt Laguna Redang, byk tmpt menarik nk posing .. so bergmbr sakan la lagi ..
1130pm - Minum mlm, pastu dediam sneak out to Laguna td sensorg pi amek cover digi cam Taqi kitorg trtinggal kt situ. Nak ajak dak2 nih, muka sorg2 da kuyu da. Takpe la pi sensorg pon aper salahnyer. Mamat kt sana tu siap tlg pegangkan, so smpai2 jer die trus hulurkan jer. Pastu blk bilik terus tido.
Diulangi sekali lg: Line DIGI and CELCOM tiada network di sana, sila tinggalkan hp anda di rumah untuk kemudahan anda. Tidaklah anda tertunggu2 org menelefon anda. Muakakakaaa..
